
From the bustling city of Johannesburg, Raphadu Maphoto, moved to Cape Town to pursue his passion of storytelling through the mediums of film and photography.
His work revolves around the African narrative and community. Raphadu spends most of his time shooting films but is driven by capturing mesmerising photographs in and around the South African landscape.
He is currently studying a BA in Motion Picture and majors in directing and scriptwriting at AFOA Cape Town. Raphadu has also won the JCS International Creatives Award in 2020 which is hosted by the International Emmys and has been nominated for multiple film festivals across the world.
