Homegrown within the shores of Ghana is Afrosoul singer Quayba pronounced “kway-ba”. Having fallen in love with music at the precious age of four she has gone on to pursue a solo career gradually garnering a devout following in the African music space and even beyond. 

Quayba holds a first degree in Biological Science from the University of Cape Coast, and a masters degree in International Relations yet she maintains a strong love for performing and writing music.

She has gracefully shared the stage with household names such as Sena Dagadu, King Promise, Berima Amo, Worlasi, Irene Logan amongst many others.

With a voice that is best described as beautiful, soulful and honest she is bound to transport you to a place of love, life and laughter themes that are very prominent in her music. 

In 2018, Quayba released her debut music project, titled “Nkuro: Gh To The World” to raving reviews and much acclaim. The six-track EP which pays homage to her childhood memories and Ghanaian pop culture fuses a plethora of sounds from highlife to afropop to funk and even spots of jazz, into one uniquely-styled masterpiece she calls “Contemporary Highlife”.

In August 2020, Quayba released Wonder Woman, a live recorded single celebrating the legacy of womanhood and how it is passed on from mother to mother. Following the success of Wonder Woman, she released the acclaimed Already Cover originally by Beyonce feat Shatta Wale and Major Lazer which was a massive hit.

As a way of giving her fans a live music experience amidst the Covid-19 pandemic she released a Live Visual Experience of her Nkuro EP. Backed by her Afrosoul band, this project paid homage to her ethnic Ga and Fante roots and incorporated authentic highlife rhythms and Afrocentric visuals.
