Sometimes we tend to forget to check who’s behind the artistry of a music video. And while our artist are outchea on a global scale making a name for themselves, so are our director.
Award winning director Kyle White lent his talents behind the camera to David Guetta, Akon and Master KG’s single “Shine Your Light” after being contacted in June and jetting off to the Dominican Republic three days later to shoot.
Despite having to work with a local production crew where 70% of the cast and crew were Spanish speakers and only having three translators to relay his direction, White and his team were able to pull off a near miracle – all within five days of his initial call to take on the job.
“The shoot seemed like it went by in a flash. It was an exciting, difficult and nerve-wracking experience. Akon and Master KG were both awesome to work with, down-to-earth nice guys, making the process of creating this music video under such stressful circumstances much easier,” White said about his experience working on this production.
“I grew a lot as a person and as a director. I am so grateful for this opportunity to work with world-class talent on the biggest, Hollywood level, music video of my career to date.”
