ITSHAL, whose real name is Yves Tshamba, is a musician rapper and performer of the Democratic Republic of Congo born on April 9, 1989 in Kolwezi capital of the province of Lualaba.
He took his first steps in music in 2004. The same year, he founded the group BLEU STAR with his school friends. A year later, he joined the dance group Trace where he brought his musical touch. In 2006, he began his solo career and entered the studio for the recording of his very first single Tell me love, a title that met with success and opened collaborations and his first concert.
In 2009, his second single “Ma vie” became a RAP hit in an East Kasaian society where young people still breathed to the rhythm of folk music and Congolese Rumba. This title will be nominated among the best achievements of artists evolving in the province by the program of reward of musical artists “NDULE AWARDS”.
In his music, ITSHAL denounces all kinds of discrimination against artists but also tells real social facts. In 2011, he participated in the famous reality show Vodacom Superstar season II, for which he will be responsible for the casting of Season III in the province of Kasai Oriental the following year. 2013 he participates in the Star Africa Sound competition.
ITSHAL has since chained productions throughout the DRC with several renowned artists such as: Celeo Scram, Marshall Dixon, Sarah Kalume, DJ Amarula, DJ Abdoul, Larousse Marciano… Between Kinshasa, Mbujimayi and Lubumbashi, his titles such as: Semena, Bilele, RIP, Pona or Kata kata are the delight of music lovers on his Rap Ndombolo style. Itshal performs in several festivals and cultural events such as Toseka, Bya ma ngoma, Yambi City Festival.
His concert at the French Institute of Lubumbashi in February 2020 marked his official presentation and installation in the Lushois urban universe where he imposes his style.
