FAME Week Africa 2021: Putting film in focus

Set to provide the film industry with the most exciting must-see and be seen event ever on African soil, Reed Exhibitions Africa in partnership with the Host City of Cape Town presents FAME Week Africa 2021.

As the continent’s first-ever keystone of business development for the Film, Arts, Media and Entertainment (FAME) industries, the event taking place from 3 – 5 October 2021 will showcase the best of African talent across the four platforms.

For film makers, there’s a smorgasbord of delights. Not only will African industry leaders mingle with stakeholders to showcase their work and to explore possible opportunities, the talent showcase in this sector focuses on an outstanding African Film/TV Show highlighting Africa and/or her people in the following categories:

• Short film (less than 60 mins)
• Documentary
• Animation
• Feature film (longer than 60 mins)
• Series
• Experimental

Film makers are urged to provide submissions soon, as the closing date for showcase submissions is 14 August 2021. Based on the motivation, category outline and criteria, a panel of industry stakeholders will select the submissions that will be profiled during the FAME Reel Talent Showcase.
