Stirring up your weekday teatime on East Coast Radio, Carol brings you all the feels on current affairs, topics that people are too afraid to talk about and of course all her travels and celebrity hot gos!

When Carol is not on the airways, nor doing voice overs, or on TV, you’ll find her MC-ing, being a Motivational Speaker, having fun with make-up artist and just being a wife and mother to her 5-year-old son and 15 month old daughter.

Q&A With Carol

Tell us something about yourself that nobody knows?
I love writing… I love writing a lot. It’s such a beautiful form of expression and I love letting my mind go when I write. Oh, and I can do cartwheels.

What tips can you share that have helped to shape your career?
The first thing is to be clear about what you want for yourself. Don’t let others’ expectations of you dictate what and how you chase your dreams. Get a mentor, someone you can bounce ideas off and who can assist you achieve your dreams.

What has been the most exciting chapter of your career to date?
Packing my bag and heading to a new city for sure. Earlier this year, I moved to Durban as I took over the 9am – 1pm slot on East Coast Radio and the journey has been so exciting. The move has been a massive challenge for not only me, but my family too. But – it has been very exciting as well. KZN is really beautiful and my family and I look forward to exploring all of it.

Advice you would give to your 18 year old self in one sentence?
Maintain that body girl and keep focused, your path is clear

Best advice you were given when you started out?
Explore the world of voice overs – Simon Parkison told me that. Best advice ever! I have now officially fallen in love with voice over work as well as being a radio and television personality. For me, it’s another step in reaching my goal and it’s opened so many doors for me.

With FAME Week Africa being hosted in the Mother City, what do you love about Cape Town?
Cape Town just has its own vibe! I love eating out in the city and night life is insane. It’s the perfect place for adults to play
