‘Absolutely deserving’: Black Coffee set to perform at Coachella 2022

Grammy-nominated producer Black Coffee is set to share a stage with the likes of Harry Styles and Big Sean at Coachella in April!

Grammy-nominated producer and DJ Black Coffee has played at several music festivals around the world. The Drive hitmaker will be playing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival in April after performing at the festival in 2018. He is one of a few African artists on the lineup!

BLACK COFFEE TAKES THE WORLD 

Black Coffee has performed at some of the biggest music festivals in the world and shared his music with countries like Mexico and the United Kingdom. The 45-year-old producer has played at the Tomorrowland festival in Europe and the Sonar Festival in Barcelona and bagged residencies at Hï Ibiza in Iziba, Spain and at XS Nightclub in Las Vegas.

The star producer has also collaborated with electronic music giants David Guetta and Diplo. He teamed up with Drake on the Canadian rapper’s track Get It Together in 2017. The track samples Black Coffee’s legendary track Superman featuring Bucie.

BLACK COFFEE TAKES COACHELLA 

Black Coffee will be performing at Coachella on 15 and 22 April. The Your Eyes hitmaker is one of the few African acts that will be performing at the festival. Other African acts on the lineup include Sampa The Great, AMÉMÉ and Dave.

British singer-songwriter Harry Styles will be the headliner for the two days while American artists Lil Baby, Daniel Caeser, Big Sean and Baby Keem have also been added to the lineup. 

This will be the star producer’s second time performing at Coachella after performing at the festival in 2018.

TWEEPS CONGRATULATE THE PRODUCER

Mzansi music lovers took to Twitter to congratulate the star on the achievement with one noting that his name is getting bigger on the artist list. 

“It’s Black Cofee playing at Coachella for me,” wrote another tweep. 

“Black Coffee will headline Coachella one day!”

“Congratulations. Absolutely deserving”.
