Arsène Duevi

Arsène Duevi, bassist and guitarist, singer, choir director, composer and ethnomusicologist, is a Togolese and Italian citizen. He is nicknamed the music shaman for his versatility and the great spirituality that emanates from his works.

In 2010, he released his first album mon Afrique, which was to be followed by a second CD, Haya (hymn to life).

Arsene has toured major festivals around the world; Womad festival in Chile, Bochum in Germany, Awa festival and Canadian week festival in Canada, Atlantic music expo in Cape Verde etc … In Italy he started at the conservatory of Milan, and then at the conservatory of Cagliari as Laureat of the Andrea Parodi Prize, at the Castello Sforzesco, at the Blue Note in Milan; in Rome at the Parco della Musica, at the Mito and Suoni delle Dolomiti festivals. His original compositions speak of the intermingling of cultures, the values ​​of love, the courage of peace. He wears and shares black roots in his workshops.

His concerts are both meditative and explosive and the public quickly joins him in his emotions and good humor.
